Immaculate white sand dunes, turquoise water lagoons, bright sunshine, welcome to the white desert of the Lençóis Maranhenses in Brazil! In the hollow of the dunes drawn by the wind, the imprisoned tropical rains have created immense lagoons of fresh, green or blue water. Native plants, desert areas, crystal clear lagoons, natural bird sanctuaries and mangroves make up this unique Brazilian desert.
