Our first event of 2022 will be the “Centre of the Universe 50 km” – a totally unique ultramarathon where you decide the start point (as long as it is outside of a designated zone) and you finish up at the “Centre of the Universe” otherwise know as Hackney Wick in East London.

BE A TEAM or RUN SOLO.

We give you a state of the art Tracker (£20 to hire but part of the entry) and all the pre-logistical help you need to plan a start that will make a 50KM route from Hackney. You creating the start means that you are already free from others. We provide you with world-class nutrition from the ultramarathon team at KOMFuel (a box circa £20 in value) with enough gels/bars and electrolyte powder to get you to the finish.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR START LOCATION:

Please check out our guest blog written by Camino Legend Mark Kerry: https://www.caminoultra.com/post/how-to-create-a-route-for-the-centre-of-the-universe-ultra

In the blog there is a section at the end that shows the 30KM radius map and how you can have fun plotting

ULTRA PRIZES:

In 2022 all entrants will be given a Prize Card. If you complete any of the challenges set within the card you will be in a chance to win one of many great ultramarathon based prizes – Shoes/Kit/Nutrition/Coffee and much more

As with all Camino races there will exceptional one-off designed prizes for the winners, locally sourced gems in the finisher bag and innovative partnerships with the likes of ReRun & TreesNot Tees.

“It was so so nice participating in “Centre of the Universe” Ultra this year. You’ve created this amazing race under CoVid restricted circumstances in London, just after going through long lasted no-group runs, no-races, highly isolating solo runs everyday. We were amazed to be able to be a part of great community again, running together but each created own routes towards Hackney-Centre of the Universe, where you all await with your arms wide opened! It was the best!
