The CCC, part of the UTMB annual festival of running runs along the international path “Grande Randonnée du Tour du Mont-Blanc (GR TMB)”.
Like its sister races, it is a mountain race, with numerous high altitude (+2500m) passages, difficult weather conditions that require training, special equipment and self-sufficiency.
The registration limit is set at 1900 runners and there is a cut-off time of 26h and 30minutes. Registration for this race requires 3 points obtained from the approved qualifying races.
The race starts at Courmayeur, in the Italian Alps, and its climbs include some of the most amazing views the Alps can offer: Mont-Blanc and the Grandes Jorasses or the Vallons des Chezerys. The race enters Switzerland at the Grand col Ferret (2537m) and then France at Vallorcine, and ends in the heart of Chamonix.
As the race is semi self-sufficient, only 10 refreshments posts are provided with drinks and food.
