Dartmoor 24 Hour, 12 Hour & 6 Hour Trail Running Challenge – Solo, Pairs and Team options
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August 2021


The first 24 hour challenge on Dartmoor will be with you in 2021. Set in the heart of Dartmoor on private land you’ll be running a 10k loop around some wonderful locations that aren’t normal accessible to the public.
Starting at 12:00am on Saturday you’ll be running through the night to finish at 12:00am on Sunday.
You can take part as a solo runner, pairs and teams of 4 people.


Time options, There will be a 24 hour, 12 hour and a 6 hour option for you to enter.
Options for the 24 hour Challenge – Starts 12:00am Saturday 14th August – Finish 12:00am Sunday 15th August


Solo – £85 per person
Pairs x2 – £65 per person
Teams x4 – £60 per person


There is also a 12 Hour option, this will see you start at midnight on Saturday 14th and finish at midday on Sunday 15th. Again there are sole, pairs and team options.
Options 12 Hour Challenge – Starts 12:00pm Saturday 14th August – Finishes 12:00am Sunday 15th August
Solo – £65 per person
Pairs x2 – £50 per person
Teams x4 – £40 per person


The 6 hour option, will see you start at 6:00am on Sunday 15th and finish at midday on Sunday 15th.
Options 6 Hour Challenge – Starts 06:00am Sunday 15th August – Finishes 12:00am Sunday 15th August
Solo – £45 per person
Pairs x2 – £35 per person
Teams x4 – £30 per person


Try to complete as many 11k laps as you can within your time limit. The most laps wins.
Teams and pairs can take it turns running laps, or run as many as you can before changing over to another member of your time or partner.


You can change as many times and as often as you like.
Prizes for the first 3 sole runners male and female, along with pair and team prizes for the first 3.

Global - Virtual

Elevation

A virtual race which can be run at any time shown on the dates shown, on any type of terrain in any country.

Suitable for

For runners from beginners to experienced as you choose your own course and challenge based on the guidelines and options set by the virtual race organiser.

Endurance - Multi-activity

Elevation

An ultra distance race including at least two of the following activities such as running, swimming, cycling, kayaking, skiing and climbing. It may also include different climatic conditions (eg ice, snow, humidity, cold water, mud or heat).

Suitable for

Experienced multi-skilled athletes who have trained for the different activities included in this event. Admission to these races may be subject to receipt of a recent medical examination certificate. Check with the race organiser regarding entry requirements and any specialist equipment required such as a wetsuit, skis or a mountain bike.

Brutal

Elevation

Increase of up to 2000 metres with very challenging climatic conditions (e.g. ice, snow, humidity, heat or at high altitude)

Suitable for

Very experienced long distance ultra runners (min 3 years’ experience) or are doing regular long distance running (>50 miles) with elevation and conditions shown (where possible). Admission to these races is often subject to receipt of a recent medical examination certificate. Purchase of specialist kit is often recommended for these races.

Expert

Elevation

Increase of up to 2000 metres with some challenging climatic conditions (e.g. ice, snow, humidity or heat)

Suitable for

Experienced runners who have completed at least 4 ultras in last 12 months, or are doing regular long distance running (>50 miles) with elevation and conditions shown (where possible). Admission to these races may be subject to receipt of a recent medical examination certificate. Check with the race organiser regarding entry requirements.

Advanced

Elevation

Increase of up to 1500 metres

Suitable for

Runners who have completed several ultra distances or similar events, or are doing long distance running regularly, with elevation shown.

Intermediate

Elevation

Increase of up to 1000 metres

Suitable for

Runners who have completed at least one ultra in last 6 months or are doing long distance running (>26 miles) regularly, with elevation shown.

Beginner

Elevation

Very little change < 500 metres

Suitable for

First ultra event. Runners completing a marathon or doing regular long distance running (>26 miles) in the last 6 months.
