The 40.8 mile routes take a clockwise circular route on way marked paths with plentiful additional marking and Marshals present.

From the hall you head out towards Sherwood Forest. Initially on some nice trail followed by some tough field edges (and sometimes water!) you reach the A614. Here the route uses a cycle path in Clumber Park near the Thoresby area which is the first real chance to open out the legs before arriving at Hazel Gap Aid Station.

Here 40 milers cross the road to run an additional 10 miles in the forest which passes The Major Oak!

Summer Dukeries 40 GPX!

Following forest trails, minor roads and footpaths, the route passes charming lodges, to head straight through Creswell Crags, after refreshments at the Aid Station located there.

The route then skirts the Wellbeck estate to reach and then cross through Clumber Park to arrive at the A614 Aid Station.

It the continues on through peaceful farm land before looping back to Walesby Sports Hall.
The Dukeries lap without doubt offers some of Nottinghamshire’s most famous, finest and picturesque trail!

Clear marking will be in place throughout so you can enjoy the race with the vastly reduced risk of going off trail.
