This is the inaugural Great Stones Way Ultra Trail.
The event starts at Coate Water country park, in Swindon. Taking you around the water and over the M4, the trails then begin.
You quickly join the Ridgeway and up to Barbury Castle. Following the Ridgeway all the way to Avebury and Silbury Hill.
The route then takes you through Alton Barnes and past Pewsey and past Casterley camp. Following the River Avon, you will then be greeted by views of Stonehenge and Old Sarum, before a small urban section, taking you on to the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral, where you finish your journey.
There will be a bag drop area at the finish, if you plan to park at the finish and take up the bus option. Unfortunately parking is down to the individuals to cover. We will also take any bags from the start, for people not taking up the bus option, who want their bag to be with them at the end.
The event will have well stocked aid stations, eco friendly medals and options to plant trees and offset journeys to and from our event.
