RACE INFO: This is an 8-Hour chip-timed 0.8 Mile Loop Ultra Marathon held at Granny White Park in Brentwood, TN, taking place VETERAN’S DAY WEEKEND on Saturday, November 12th, 2022.

SUB-EVENTS: Registration is available for solo runners, teams, and also virtual runners. Teams will be relay teams and can be made up of up-to 4 runners (only 1 runner runs at a time).

WHAT IS INCLUDED?: All solo runners, virtual runners, and registered team members will receive a t-shirt and medal. Lunch is also included on race day for all in-person registrants.

FUNDRAISING: All money raised above expenses will be split between two (2) organizations: The USO and Lantern Lane Farm. Anyone has the opportunity to help fundraise for this event. ALL-DONATIONS are tax-deductible. Shelli Huether Honor Run Inc is a 501(c3) non-profit organization.

HISTORY: On September 8, 2020, Lieutenant Colonel Shelli Huether and two fellow Tennessee Air National Guard members (Captain Jessica Wright and Senior Master Sargent Scott Bumpus) were involved in a fatal plane crash near the Warren County Memorial Airport in McMinnville, TN. Their current assignment was with the 118th Wing in Nashville, TN which specializes in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR).

Shelli had a servant’s heart and spent countless hours volunteering with the USO, Operation Stand Down, and many other charities and non-profit organizations. She also loved to run and pushed herself hard…always setting new running goals to accomplish.

My goal with setting up this race & fundraiser, is to honor Shelli and ALL veterans…while raising money for a couple of incredible charities in her name.
