Swedish UltraTrail Championship 2018

Sundsvall Trail is seen as one of the most scenic and technical trail races in Sweden.

The course starts at the shore of the Gulf of Botnia and takes the runners from the ocean via the river of Ljungan to the wild and partly pathless mountains Omsberget and Midskogsberget. This is a new course design for 2018 which we are very pleased with.

What makes this race stand out is the beautiful terrain with a lot of variation in running surfaces and forrest types, and the high amount of extreme single track and also off-trail running (which together constitutes for over 92% of the course).

Total ascent is approximately 1600 meters during the 52 km race, but don’t underestimate the course which in toughness is often compared to races with dubble the amount of vertical gain.

Very good communications to the race area, both from different parts of Sweden and abroad, high quality sleeping possibilities at the hotel at the finish area and bus transportation to the start area in the morning.
