The 7th annual SUPERACE ULTRA MARATHON TAIWAN is here!

We’ve arranged for new challenges in this year’s course! SUPERACE will lead runners through the Jinshuiying Historic Trail, built during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan, through the Central Mountain Range to the Eastern coast. Runners will pass the Alangyi Historic Trail, Xuhai, and Provincial Highway 26.

Runners will climb to peaks of more than 1,450 meters and descent to river beds at sea level; along the way race participants will be greated by the mountains and the sea as they pass wet tropical forests and gravel coasts. One might even hear the songs of the Paiwan people.

The diverse terrain will test both the limits of your stamina and will; it will also test your understanding of this land that is Taiwan! Come with SUPERACE in January 2019 to test your limits and discover the beauty of Formosa with your own two feet.

To allow more race participants to enjoy and experience a SUPERACE ULTRA MARATHON, this year, aside from the ‘3 Day Elite Race’ which complies with the international multi-day race standards, and the ‘1 Day Race’ which was introduced last year, SUPERACE ULTRA MARATHON has introduced a ‘3 Day Challenge Race’.

Challenge Race participants will have the luxury to only need to carry mandatory race equipment for one day, (the evernt organizers will provide equipment transport services for the other days), ) this will allow race participants interested in the ‘3 Day Elite Race’ to experience a less demanding 3-day race and gain a better understanding of the equipment involved and the fitness levels required for a SUPERACE Ultra Marathon.
