The North CANUM 2022 – A 50 mile adventure along another wonderful Welsh waterway (well two actually), following both the Llangollen and Montgomery Canal.

Sponsored by Hammer Nutrition, Enduraprep and Rokman

Join us for a 50 mile ultra marathon along the Llangollen and Montgomery Canals, these beautiful areas have attracted visitors for 200 years and we’d like to welcome a few more. Starting on the edge of the Berwyn range in the town of Llangollen, you will wonder your way through the great Welsh countryside, ending up in the historic town of Newtown.

The Llangollen Canal

Its combination of picturesque countryside and breath-taking engineering draws visitors from far and wide – many of whom probably don’t realise how close this beautiful canal once came to being lost forever.

The Montgomery Canal

Wildlife thrives along the Montgomery Canal. It’s one of the most important canals in the country for nature, much of it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and the Welsh section is of international importance, designated as a Special Area of Conservation for its aquatic plants.

Bring these two beautiful waterways together and you are in for a truly remarkable adventure.

Point of interest

The majestic Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the tallest navigable aqueduct in Britain, which will carry you over the River Dee, is actually a World Heritage Site and a true highlight of the adventure.

Enough of the huff, sign up today, challenge your perceived limits and toe the line at the North CANUM in 2022.
