We have taken the best bits from last year’s Two Moors Way Weekend and decided to turn it in to a one day challenge or race. You can enter the 35 mile Race With No Name, which is a challenging self-navigation ultra crossing Dartmoor National Park, with minimal ascent. Even in October, good weather cannot be assured and parts of the route can become boggy.

Or you can enter the Challenge Event, which is based on a points system. It can be done in teams or as a solo event and encourages pacing and a degree of team work.

There are 3 UTMB points up for grabs for the Race event.

Both formats will be fully supported with bag drops points and three checkpoints, two of which will be fully stocked with food and refreshments. All participants will be fitted with trackers so our bespoke 4×4 teams can monitor your every move.

Who is if for?
This event will appeal to people with a sense of adventure, who are looking for a route less well travelled, despite being on the Two Moors Way. It’s also meant for people who can keep a secret. If the location falls into the wrong hands, it could do untold damage to the reputation of the Lord of The Manor.

Race With No Name Challenge (Checkpoints at 13 miles, 18 miles, marathon, 35 miles):
You can run or walk to any of the three checkpoints at Fernworthy Reservoir car park on the A3212, Jordan, Scorriton village hall or the end of the Two Moors Way at Ivybrige train station. Our #paceperfect format offers points according to how close you are to the target time we will set you and encourages pacing and, if you do it in teams or as a solo event, a degree of team work. Navigation still plays an important part.

Teams must stick together throughout and finish together at each checkpoint.

Prizes will be awarded to the teams who have the highest aggregate of points across all checkpoints, as well as for each individual checkpoint. The number of points available and therefore depreciable will go up, the closer you get to the finish.

The fastest runners do not necessarily get the most points but the time targets will become increasingly harder after each checkpoint.

You can drop out at any of our checkpoints to get points, which can be claimed for any future points races we organise. You will be collected at the checkpoint and taken to the village hall in Scorriton or Drewsteignton (TBC) where warm food and refreshments will be put on. You will then be taken back to your car by one of our rapid response team, who are on standby throughout the day.

3 UTMB points
Gpx files optimised for all the leading watches and devices
Well-provisioned check-points (3 in total, all manned) fully stocked with food and drink
