The 21st edition of the oldest trail in Morocco, the Sahara Trail, will take place from November 1 to 8, 2026. A race in 4 stages over a distance of 125 km. A rich program to discover the Zagora desert, its oases, its culture, its ancient history and its heroes, Participants must be semi-autonomously, with liquid supplies on the course and solid refueling on arrival.

More than a race, an experience in the heart of the desert.

The Sahara Trail is a three-stage race of about a hundred kilometers. It is not only a unique opportunity to compete with excellent ultra-trail runners in the region but also a dream opportunity, for all athletes and whatever their level, to live a unique experience in the desert, in a spirit of sharing, discovery and solidarity.

The route takes participants on exploration, in the mazes of the oasis of the Draa Valley and the mineral desert that borders the Jbel Bani massif, south of the city of Zagora.

The logistics of the race, supplies, transfers are provided by members of nomadic families who have tamed life in this arid region for generations. This gives the trail an unforgettable authenticity in the heart of the Moroccan Sahara!

An organization by Lahcen Ahansal (10 victories at the Marathon des Sables) and the Maroc des Grandes Courses association.
