Sponsored by Hammer Nutrition, Enduraprep and Rokman.

Join us for a majestic 40 mile ultra marathon along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, this beautiful and peaceful waterway follows the line of the lovely Usk Valley through the Brecon Beacons National Park. Starting at Fourteen Locks, the route follows the ‘Mon and Brec’ all the way to the Brecon Basin.

The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal

The Mon & Brec for short, is a true hidden gem. A haven for wildlife and a favourite with nature-lovers, walkers and cyclists. This peaceful and almost entirely rural waterway is a must-see for adventure-lovers.

Point of interest

The canal passes through a World Heritage Site, which contains industrial landmarks such as the Big Pit Mining Museum. The Cefn Flight of fourteen locks has also been recognised as being of international significance, and is on Cadw‘s list of Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Not to show off but The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is often voted Britain’s most prettiest canal… Come see for yourself!
