The Weald Challenge Trail Races follow the long distance paths of the Weald Way and the Vanguard Way. Both races start and finish in the village of Chiddingly and encompass the surrounding beauty of the Sussex countryside en route.

The course

The courses are approximately 75% (trail half marathon) or 85% (50km ultra trail) off-road, and as the runners travel along the picturesque and undulating routes, they will take in a great variety of landscapes containing rolling hills, irregular shaped fields and ancient woodlands. Runners participating in the 50km Ultra Trail race will experience the added bonus of the spectacular views from the open heathland of the Ashdown Forest.

Fees

Please note that the entry cost listed above is for the 50km Ultra Trail. The Trail Half Marathon has an entry fee of £34.

Start times and runners

There are two different start times: 50km Ultra Trail is 8:00am, and Trail Half Marathon is 9:15am. There is a limit of 295 runners per race distance.
