The West Highland Way 50km Ultra takes place in some of Britain’s most spectacular terrain on an iconic National Trail.
Runners will be completing the first section of this classic route.
With over 4000ft of ascent the race route climbs up through the foothills of the Trossachs National Park and continues towards the beautiful woodland trails surrounding Loch Lomond.
Starting in Milngavie, on the outskirts of Glasgow, runners will follow the WHW to the first major obstacle, Conic Hill. The foothills of Ben Lomond then await runners as the trail ascends and descends through magnificent forest paths. Walkers tackling this section of the WHW trail would on average take approximately 3 days to complete.
As you wind your way West, Walkers along the route will be cheering you on as you push towards the finish line at The Inversnaid Hotel. Where you will receive a warm welcome, a well-deserved high five and some much needed rest!
