As we near the end of 2025, it’s a chance to reflect on incredible achievements. With Mont Blanc forever cast in the lead role, this year the story of the UTMB is one we’ll all remember; where Tom Evans and Ruth Croft weathered both stormy conditions and deep competition to become this year’s champions.
This year’s initial course was 178 kilometers (108 miles) with almost 10,000 meters (32,500 feet) of elevation gain, traversing through three countries – France, Italy, and Switzerland – and starting and ending in Chamonix. But of course, this race isn’t just about the elites. UTMB tells the tale of thousands of runners, each coming to Chamonix to write their own storylines.
