In this review, I look at two women’s running tops for Summer – one with short sleeves and one with long.

The Adidas Response Tee

Features

  • Climalite® fabric sweeps sweat away from your skin
  • Wider crewneck; Droptail hem for extra coverage and freedom of movement
  • Thumb holes help keep sleeves in place
  • Graphic on front body
  • Reflective details
  • This product is part of the Adidas sustainable product program: Products are made in more sustainable ways to make the world a better place; Every fibre counts: Recycled polyester saves resources and decreases emissions
  • Regular fit
  • 50% recycled polyester / 50% polyester double-knit

The response Tee is a nicely-designed piece of kit. When you hold it up to the light, you can see how the fabric has been serrated to be as cool as possible. The material feels a bit synthetic and harsh but it does work in terms of keeping you cool. I also found it protected well from the sun.

I liked the fact that this is a sustainable product and that it used recycled polyester. It has good reflective detailing and a nicely cut front that scallops down a bit at the bottom. It is also a very fair price.

I would have liked it to be a bit longer in the body.

PROS: Good value; cool.

CONS: Would have liked it slightly longer.

CONCLUSION

A cool, long-sleeved top, ideal for summer conditions and for keeping the sun off. A good piece of kit for the price.

Asics Fuze X Printed Short Sleeve Top

Features

  • lightweight material
  • off-shoulder sleeves
  • individual look

I liked the look of the top as it is a bit different – a green and white print. It also has a wider neckline and slightly capped sleeves.

The material is thick and feels really silky. It has washed well.

It is slightly longer at the back and is a comfortable fit all round. This is just a very simple, nice-to-wear, basic running top. I have used it a lot since I got it and I always enjoy wearing it. It doesn’t feel particularly technical, but it is cool and comfortable.

PROS: Comfortable; easy-to-wear; looks different

CONS: No pocket or any extra details.
