“UTLAC 250” is an Endurance Trail race in an alpine environment and in semi-autonomy and is organized by Larius ssdrls, with the patronage of the Lombardy Region, the municipality of Lecco and in collaboration with local institutions, sponsors and partners.
“UTLAC 250” is a semi-self-sufficiency walking race along the paths and refuges of the Lariani mountains starting on 05.08.2024 at 6.00 pm from the Lecco lakefront (War Memorial/Taxi Boat area) and arriving at the same point within a maximum limit of 90 hours, after having circumnavigated Lake Como. The route winds for 254 km and 12,430 meters of altitude difference on existing routes, between the 200 meters above sea level of the lake and the maximum peak of Monte Bregagno at 2107m.
The race, for the majority of its route, takes place on mountain paths classified E (hiking) and T (tourist). To participate in the race you need mountain experience, absence of vertigo, excellent training, prudence, suitable clothing for a temperature that can range from -5 to +30 degrees, excellent physical and mental preparation, awareness of the length of the route and its peculiarities , habit of walking mountain paths. The athlete who registers takes note of the technical, physical and morphological peculiarities of the route and is subject to immediate disqualification by the commissioners on the route who certify any unpreparedness on the field.
“UTLAC 250” is open to everyone, men and women, who are at least 18 years old at the time of registration, whether registered or not, with the requirement of a medical certificate for competitive sporting activity valid on the day of the race.
